IRAs and other retirement plans are desirable assets for planned charitable gifts.

Do you have an IRA that could be put to use for the good works of the VNA & Hospice Foundation?
Let's suppose you would like to make a significant contribution to the VNA. You designate the "VNA & Hospice Foundation, Inc." as the beneficiary of your IRA. Upon your demise, there is $50,000 available in your IRA. Because you have named a charity as the recipient, the entire $50,000 in your IRA will be protected from both income and estate taxes and transferred to the VNA & Hospice Foundation. By minimizing tax implications, you have maximized your charitable gift with very little effect on your heirs. Assuming you have two children who invest their inheritance at a three percent return, your $50,000 donation changes their future after-tax income by only $13 a month! Compare that small amount to the impact your gift would have to the VNA & Hospice Foundation. Now your $50,000 can be put to work producing $2,500 a year to underwrite charity care, and this principal and its return will continue to grow in perpetuity! What a lasting legacy for all who are served by the VNA in our community.

We'd be happy to discuss planned giving options with you (at no obligation). If you wish to receive more information about a particular type of gift or to discuss further the advantages of any particular option, please contact Richard Johnson at 772.978.5574.
