Golf-A-Thon

20th Anniversary of VNA Golf-A-Thon

May 3, 2010, The Moorings Club

The Visiting Nurse Association of the Treasure Coast began providing quality nursing care to Indian River County residents in their homes, a new concept to the community, in 1975. In 2010, after 35 years of growth, the VNA is a leading healthcare provider with the only Hospice House and hospice care in our county. The VNA and its team of qualified professionals also provide bereavement and social services, rehabilitative therapy, state of the art home health tele-monitoring, private duty nursing, and community wellness programs such as flu and pneumonia vaccine clinics and blood pressure/blood sugar screenings.

Last year you, our generous friends, contributed $185,000 to the VNA & Hospice Foundation’s Annual Golf-A-Thon, which provided charitable health services to our community neighbors, whose resources are lacking due to loss of jobs, income and health insurance. The VNA has never turned a patient away due to their inability to pay and the VNA & Hospice Foundation is determined to continue to provide the funding to assist these deserving folks.

Monday, May 3, 2010, marks the 20th Anniversary of Golf-A-Thon. Twelve dedicated local golf pros, veterans of VNA’s Golf-A-Thon, will play 135 holes of golf at The Moorings Club, raising funds for charitable home health and hospice care. On the last nine holes the pros invite their club members to walk the course with them as they play a celebratory shoot-out.
Will you make a commitment to support to your club pro and help make his tireless efforts worthwhile? Opportunity is available to make a pledge, sponsor a tee, cart or green at the event or make a one-time gift.

Join us, your pro and fellow club members for the 20th Anniversary Golf-A-Thon. Donations may be made securely online by clicking here or call Beverly Smith at 978-5573 to make your commitment to the VNA & Hospice Foundation today with a pledge, sponsorship or one-time gift.

Together we can make a difference!
