VNA's Tree of Remebrance Program Raises More Than $8,000

VNA Hospice’s 18th annual Tree of Remembrance program was a great success in 2008. The event raised $8,858 through the sale of holiday ornaments and donations. All proceeds help provide care to patients in Indian River County who face a life-limiting illness.

Community members shared special memories of loved ones by hanging “angel cards” on the tree. “Teddy bear cards” were also available for children to color and hang on a small Teddy Bear Tree. The trees were located at the Indian River Mall from the middle of November through Christmas day.

VNA’s Tree of Remembrance program could not succeed without the commitment and support of the community and our volunteers. Thank you from the VNA!
