VNA Names 2006 Employee of the Year

The VNA recently named Cindy Lewis as its employee of the year for 2006. Lewis has worked at the VNA for 13 years, beginning as a receptionist and then advancing to the agency’s medical records department. Currently, she works as the VNA’s Hospice House coordinator, where she has served since the house opened its doors in 2000. “The VNA has been a wonderful place to work and has given me the opportunity to grow personally and professionally,” said Cindy. “I am very proud to have been chosen for the honor of VNA employee of the year.”

Lewis has been recognized as VNA’s employee of the quarter twice previously, and was selected by her peers for the employee of the year award. “Cindy is dynamite and dynamic all in the same breath,” said Candace Sherwood, who nominated her for the honor. “I totally respect what she does for the agency.” For her accomplishment, Lewis was awarded a plaque and $100, her own parking spot for the year, and a new name badge reflecting the distinction.
