The Wellness Group of South Mainland & North Indian River County will host a diabetes education program by the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 20 at the South Mainland Public Library, 7921 Ron Beatty Blvd. in Micco.
If you or a loved one are living with diabetes, you won't want to miss this presentation, conducted by VNA Nurse Practitioner Joy Hulecki and Certified Diabetes Educator Betsy Root. Joy and Betsy will share valuable information about diabetes including causes, risk factors, symptoms, and proper nutrition. They will also explain how you can better manage your diabetes to help avoid potentially dangerous complications.
Joy and Betsy will also share information about the VNA's new home telehealth technology, an important tool to help patients manage chronic illnesses such as diabetes. This program is open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
