VNA Hospice to Benefit from Book and Art Proceeds

VERO BEACH, Fla. (April 11, 2006) – Local artist Gail Lois Jaffe is donating proceeds from her paintings and children’s book The Enchanted Mirror to VNA Hospice for its children’s bereavement program.

A book signing is scheduled for Thursday, April 27 from 6-8 p.m. at Bodega Blue, 2115 14th Ave. Five dollars from each book sold, and $100 from each painting sold will benefit VNA Hospice. Jaffe’s work will be displayed at Bodega Blue from now until mid-May.

Jaffe is a former bereavement counselor at VNA Hospice, who left the organization to pursue her art career.

“I have a special place in my heart for the VNA Hospice bereavement program,” Jaffe said. “They are so dedicated to the community, especially with the children’s bereavement program going into the schools and hosting Camp Chrysalis.”

The Enchanted Mirror is about a young girl’s search for her true self. Jaffe’s art is both watercolors and mixed media that reflects her thoughts and feelings about life.
