VERO BEACH, Fla. – (June 11, 2009) – National Men’s Health Week is June 15-21, 2009. The goal of National Men’s Health Week is to heighten the awareness of preventable health problems and encourage early detection and treatment of disease among men and boys. During Men’s Health Week, VNA Hospice encourages all men to take an opportunity to get information about their health and go to the doctor to get their annual check-ups (blood pressure, blood sugar, prostate and colon exams).
The VNA Hidden Treasures resale boutique is celebrating this essential week by offering no- cost blood pressure screenings on June 15th from 11 a.m. — 1 p.m. and no-cost blood pressure/blood sugar screenings on June 18th from 9 — 11 a.m. (fasting is required from midnight on). Hidden Treasure will also be offering 20% off men’s clothing throughout the week.
VNA Hospice operates the Hidden Treasures resale boutique located at 656 21st Street, Vero Beach, in the Miracle Mile Plaza. Proceeds from the store help VNA Hospice provide care for Indian River County patients with life-limiting illnesses and also support the day-to-day operating expenses of the VNA Hospice House. The store is open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. — 4:30 p.m. and on Saturday 9 a.m. — 4:00 p.m.
