VNA Seeking Volunteers for Tree of Remembrance Celebration.

VERO BEACH, Fla. – (October 30, 2009) – In preparation for its 19th annual Tree of Remembrance celebration, VNA Hospice is seeking volunteers to assist with coordinating the event at the Indian River Mall. For those who wish to help, there will be an organizational meeting on Monday, November 9 at 10:00 a.m. at the VNA office building, 1110 35th Lane in Vero Beach.

The Tree of Remembrance celebration, which begins November 27 and runs through December 24, allows area residents to honor the memory of loved ones by penning their thoughts on an angel card and hanging it on the tree.

The Tree of Remembrance program also helps raise funds to provide care for patients in Indian River County who face a life-limiting illness. With a $15 donation, you can choose between a heart, butterfly, dove or angel ornament. With a $20 donation, you may choose a personalized ornament which is being offered for the first time this year. In 2008, over $9,171 was raised through Tree of Remembrance donations and the sale of the holiday ornaments.

If you are interested in volunteering for this event, please contact Kathy Stogner at 978.5592 to reserve your spot. For more information about the Tree of Remembrance or VNA Hospice services, please call 567.5551 or visit www.vnatc.com
