VNA & Hospice Foundation Welcomes Newest Board Member

The VNA & Hospice Foundation is pleased to welcome Kathryn Barton to the organization’s board of directors. Barton is a certified public accountant and financial planner with Offutt Barton Schlitt LLC and has an extensive background in finance and planned giving.

“The Board Development Committee recognized Kathryn’s professional skills and experience aligned with the Foundation’s leadership opportunities. In addition, she has had a personal experience with our local Hospice program and understands the Foundation’s mission to ensure healthcare is available to everyone in need in our community,” said Kathie Pierce, Foundation Board Chairman.

As a Vero Beach resident since 1971, Barton has given back to the community in many capacities. She was previously the chair of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Estate and Financial Planning Committee. She is a member of the Planned Giving Council and Indian River Estate Planning Council, where she also held the position of president. Barton is active in the Vero Beach Rotary Club and volunteers on its Charities Foundation. She currently is on the City of Vero Beach Finance Commission and serves on the board for Sebastian Charter Junior High and the Humane Society of Vero Beach. Barton graduated Cum Laude from Rutgers University, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and was awarded a certificate in financial planning with honors from the University of Central Florida.

The VNA & Hospice Foundation partners with donors to provide healthcare to all in need in Indian River County, regardless of their financial challenges.
