Hospice

Hospice is an end-of-life care philosophy to help people with a life-limiting illness stay comfortably at home. At VNA Hospice, we are committed to compassionate care at the highest level, with a focus on quality of life; for us, hospice is about living fully.

VNA Hospice Care is provided by an interdisciplinary team comprised of a medical director, attending physician, registered nurse, home health aides, social workers, bereavement specialists, music therapists and volunteers.

Routine care may include pain management, medication management, alternative therapy, emotional and spiritual counseling for the patient and family, assistance with daily tasks and symptom management. Routine hospice care can be provided wherever you call home, whether in a skilled nursing facility, assisted living facility, memory care or patient’s own home. In the event symptoms can no longer be managed at home, the VNA Hospice House offers 24/7 care for patients.
