The VNA proudly welcomes William Stengel to the board of the VNA & Hospice Foundation. “I am so excited to have an outstanding person like Bill join our other talented board members and help us achieve our VNA mission and vision,” said Kathie Pierce, Foundation Board Chairman.
A graduate of Princeton University (BA Biology) and Columbia University (MBA Finance), Stengel enjoyed a 30-year career in international banking with Citibank, N.A., where he held numerous managerial responsibilities. After retiring as Managing Director in 2003, Stengel became a Paramedic and worked 12 years for the local fire department as well as the Emergency Department at Mid-Coast Hospital in Brunswick, Maine. Simultaneously, Stengel served as a Foundation Board member of Maine’s air medical service, LifeFlight of Maine. Although not presently active, he remains licensed as a nationally registered paramedic.
He has also held senior leadership positions on several boards, including Green Mountain Digital, a mobile software company in Woodstock, Vermont. Stengel also served as an independent director for Holly Energy Partners LP, a public oil pipeline company in Dallas, Texas.
The VNA & Hospice Foundation partners with donors to provide healthcare to all in need in Indian River County, regardless of their financial challenges.
