VNA Home Health & Hospice is hosting a Caregiver Conference Thursday, April 14th from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Vero Beach. Open to the public at no-cost, the conference welcomes caregivers in the community to attend lunch, provided by VNA, followed by a moderated Q&A session with a panel of local experts specializing in senior needs and caregiver support. Panelists from the VNA, Heartbeat of the Treasure Coast, The Conversation Project, Alzheimer & Parkinson Association of Indian River County, Senior Resource Association, the Law Office of Marie Conforti, Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders (SHINE) and a local physician will be available to mingle with caregivers, and answer questions during the event.
“This conference will give organizations that provide resources to caregivers and their families the opportunity to better understand caregiver needs. This understanding will guide us in the delivery of services unique to the needs of caregivers in Indian River County,” said VNA President & CEO, Mary Linn Hamilton.
A non-profit home health agency serving Indian River County for over 40 years, the VNA looks forward to providing relevant topics and information to community caregivers to help meet their needs, and educate them on health care and other human services available in Indian River County. Those interested in attending the event should RSVP at www.vnatc.com/care, as space is limited. For questions, please call 772-978-5515.
