The Visiting Nurse Association of the Treasure Coast (VNA) has named Dan Bach, MBA, CPA as its new Chief Financial Officer. Bach comes to the VNA with more than twenty-five years of financial experience in the healthcare industry. For the past 13 years, he has worked in the home health and hospice industry.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dan to the VNA family. Dan’s experience in home health, hospice and private care makes him a sure fit, not to mention his reputation of giving back to the communities in which he has lived,” remarked Lundy Fields, VNA’s President and CEO.
Before joining the VNA, Bach resided in South Carolina, where he served as the CFO for Medical Services of America, a multimillion-dollar private medical services business, operating dozens of home health, hospice, private duty and medical equipment locations in multiple states. Bach started his career with Medical Services of America as a senior financial analyst and was promoted to CFO in 2014.
“I believe my extensive experience with home health, hospice, and private care will serve me well in my new role, and I look forward to developing strategies that are aligned with VNA’s 43-year mission to set the standard for patients and caregivers needing our services, while achieving our financial goals,” stated CFO, Dan Bach.
He is no stranger to philanthropy either. Simultaneously, Bach served as a board member for Hospice Care Charity Foundation, coordinating and participating in fund raising events, preparing annual regulatory and tax reporting and overseeing balance of funds and approving disbursements.
Bach is a two-time alumna of Ohio State University. He received his Bachelor’s degree as Summa Cum Laude of the honors program in 1986 and his Master of Business Administration in 1988. Shortly thereafter, while working as a staff accountant for University Hospitals of Cleveland, Bach passed the CPA exam on his first attempt.
He is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors, Empower 401(k) Client Advisory Committee and American Institute of CPAs. Prior to relocating to Florida, he was a member of the South Carolina Society of CPAs, Riverbanks Zoo, Pacific Whale Foundation and various fishing clubs.
Bach cherishes family time and is looking forward to golfing and fishing in the sunshine state.
